Our client is looking for a dynamic and detail-driven Financial Controller to oversee the full financial function of a busy production plant — providing insight, accuracy, and strategic financial support that drives performance and growth. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate, timely, and insightful financial analysis to guide plant management decisions.
- Oversee general financial management, including debtors, creditors, fixed assets, and payroll review.
- Ensure IFRS compliance and maintain key financial controls and risk registers.
- Prepare plant budgets, forecasts, and monthly management reports.
- Compile and analyse financial packs, flash results, and weekly sales reports.
- Manage the CAPEX and tooling registers, tracking spend, profitability, and cash flow impact.
- Coordinate external and internal audits, ensuring all year-end processes run smoothly.
- Support costing functions — including import landed costs, variance analysis, and stock control.
- Oversee cash flow, working capital, and forex activities to optimise plant performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across financial and operational processes.
- Lead and develop your finance team, fostering a high-performance and safety-focused culture.
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Financial Accounting is essential
- CA(SA) or CIMA qualification is highly advantageous
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar financial role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, costing, IFRS, and internal controls
- Proven ability to manage budgets, cash flow, and CAPEX effectively
- Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
