Group Reporting Accountant

Our client is looking for a Group Reporting Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role focuses on preparing and delivering financial reports to meet group-specific requirements. The Group Reporting Accountant ensures accurate and timely submission of financial data to support group-level decision-making and compliance.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
Group Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare monthly group reporting packs in line with group accounting standards and deadlines
  • Compile tax submission packs and support compliance with group and local tax requirements
  • Develop and maintain budgets and financial forecasts for group reporting purposes
  • Maintain and update reporting templates and ensure consistency across reporting periods
  • Ensure all reporting aligns with IFRS, GAAP, and internal financial policies and procedures
  • Provide accurate and timely financial information to support strategic decision-making
 
Business Intelligence and Data Management
  • Generate and validate financial datasets to support Business Intelligence (BI) and management reporting
  • Assist with the implementation and usage of ERP (Business Central), BI tools (Power BI), and FP&A systems (e.g., Anaplan)
  • Participate in system and process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and data accuracy
 
Compliance and Audit Support
  • Support internal and external audit processes, including the provision of required reports and reconciliations
  • Monitor compliance with statutory, tax, and legal regulations impacting financial reporting
  • Assist in the preparation of annual IFRS financial statements for submission to auditors 
 
Key Requirements:
  • BCom Honours (Post-Grad)
  • Minimum 18 months expereicne r in accounting/finance with exposure to group reporting, corporate finance and business analysis
  • Sound understanding of relevant legislation and statutory compliance related to payment procedures and best practices. 
  • Strong IFRS knowledge and group reporting
  • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, data cleanup).
  • ERP experience (Business Central preferred).
  • BI tools (Power BI a must; FP&A tools like Anaplan a bonus).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to thrive under tight deadlines with sharp attention to detail.
