Reporting into senior leadership, you will play a key role in delivering financial insight, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring strong financial controls across multiple businesses within the group.
 
Ideal locations: Scottburgh, Pennington, Park Rynie, Umkomaas, Port Shepstone, or surrounding South Coast areas.
 
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
    • Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis
    • Analyse profit and loss by department, project, and cost centre
    • Maintain general ledger integrity and reconciliations
    • Prepare accruals, provisions, and journals
    • Assist with year-end audit preparation and audit queries
    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
Budgeting & Forecasting
    • Prepare annual budgets across business divisions
    • Produce rolling forecasts and financial projections
    • Monitor performance against budgets
    • Identify financial risks and opportunities
Costing & Profitability Analysis
    • Monitor overhead allocation and cost recovery
    • Conduct profitability analysis across business units
    • Analyse operational efficiencies and recommend improvements
Cash Flow & Working Capital
    • Prepare cash flow forecasts
    • Monitor debtor and creditor balances
    • Support working capital improvement initiatives
Business Partnering
    • Provide financial insight and support to operational managers
    • Assist with commercial decision-making and strategic planning
Compliance & Statutory Requirements
    • VAT and tax submissions
    • Maintain strong financial controls and procedures
    • Ensure compliance with statutory and audit requirements
 
Key Requirements:
    • BCom Accounting / Honours Degree or equivalent
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a financial or management accounting role
    • Strong management reporting and budgeting experience
    • Experience working within group company structures advantageous
    • ERP accounting system experience
    • Payroll system exposure advantageous
    • Willingness to travel to Zambia approximately once per quarter
