Our client is seeking an experienced and creative Marketing & Communications Manager to lead the development and execution of integrated marketing, branding, and communication strategies. This role is responsible for enhancing brand visibility, managing internal and external communications, overseeing digital and traditional marketing initiatives, and ensuring consistent brand representation across all channels. The successful candidate will collaborate with multiple stakeholders, manage external service providers, and drive promotional activities that support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing, Promotion & Brand Management

Develop and implement annual marketing and promotional plans in collaboration with key stakeholders.

Build a strong brand image through proactive content management and structured branding processes.

Execute product, service, and brand communication campaigns, including launches and promotional initiatives.

Manage advertising activities across print, digital, social media, and other communication channels.

Oversee website and digital platform content, ensuring information remains relevant, accurate, and engaging.

Create promotional display units and materials, and plan, coordinate, and manage participation in exhibitions, trade shows, conferences, customer events, and promotional activities.

Develop and distribute newsletters, marketing collateral, promotional materials, and other communication assets.

Ensure all branding and communications align with Regional and Corporate brand guidelines and standards.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal team, external partners and contractors.
Communications & Stakeholder Engagement

Manage internal and external communication channels, ensuring consistent messaging and brand representation.

Planning and implementing communication strategies at a Sub-Regional and country level.

Develop and implement communication strategies that support business objectives and stakeholder engagement.

Coordinate media relations and social media activities to strengthen brand awareness and reputation.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure communication materials accurately reflect business priorities.

Manage relationships with external agencies, suppliers, and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.
Events & Campaign Management

Identify, evaluate, and coordinate promotional opportunities and industry events.

Manage event planning, logistics, promotional materials, and supplier coordination.

Support hospitality and customer engagement initiatives that enhance brand visibility and customer relationships.

Contribute creative ideas and innovative approaches to marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
Administration & Budget Management

Maintain accurate records of marketing expenditure, budgets, purchase orders, invoices, and supplier agreements.

Monitor and report on marketing budgets and campaign spending.

Coordinate procurement and supplier management for promotional materials and branded items.

Maintain digital asset libraries, including marketing collateral, design files, and multimedia content.

Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company policies relating to marketing activities.
Brand Governance & Project Coordination

Maintain brand consistency across all marketing and communication activities.

Support product naming, branding, and trademark administration processes where required.

Coordinate branding requirements for new product launches and ongoing projects.

Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations to ensure successful execution.
Key Requirements

Diploma or higher qualification in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field.
-
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in marketing, communications, media relations, or a similar role.
-
Fluent in English and Afrikaans

Must have editorial, graphic design, writing and communication skills.
-
Able to motivate a team and run regional projects without direct reporting lines.

Proven experience managing social media platforms, digital marketing initiatives, and communication campaigns.

Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder projects and working across diverse teams and cultures.

Demonstrated experience managing agencies, suppliers, and external service providers.

Strong understanding of marketing principles, branding, communications, and media relations.

Strong planning, organisational, and project management capabilities.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budget requirements.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital marketing tools and platforms.
