Supply Chain Excellence Lead (1 Year Fixed-Term Contract) | Durban

Our client is looking for a seriously sharp, analytical thinker who can turn complex supply chain challenges into practical solutions that deliver real results. This is not a traditional Supply Chain Manager role. Our client needs someone who can design the solution, crunch the numbers and make it happen.

Key Responsibilities:

• Redesigning and optimising supply chain networks across Africa.

• Finding smarter ways to reduce costs, improve efficiency and optimise inventory.

• Leading major supply chain improvement and transformation projects.

• Using data, mathematical modelling, AI and analytics to solve complex operational problems.

• Improving manufacturing, planning, procurement and distribution processes.

• Driving automation, smarter systems and measurable cost savings.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Operations Research or a related technical discipline.

• Strong experience in supply chain optimisation within a complex manufacturing environment.

• Proven success delivering large-scale improvement projects with measurable results.

• Excellent mathematical modelling, analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong SAP, advanced Excel and Power BI capabilities.

• Exposure to Python, SQL, AI or optimisation tools advantageous.

• Solid project management experience, ideally PMP, Agile or Scrum.
