Accountant
 
Purpose
Manage the full financial function across multiple entities, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and strong financial controls while supporting business decision-making.
 
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
Prepare monthly management accounts for all group entities
Consolidate divisional results and produce management reports
Maintain reporting schedules and uploads (SharePoint, Qlik)
Support ad-hoc and operational reporting
Payroll & Compliance
Process payroll and submit PAYE to South African Revenue Service
Manage UIF submissions to the Department of Labour
Support VAT and statutory reporting (StatsSA, NAACAM)
Group Accounting
Manage financial relationships across group entities
Reconcile intercompany accounts monthly and resolve variances
Rental Accounting
Manage rental portfolios via PayProp (invoicing, collections, reporting)
Conduct rental application vetting
Liaise with auditors annually
Budgeting & Controls
Maintain budgeting tools and consolidate divisional budgets
Perform reconciliations across systems (e.g. Finnivo, Qlik)
Ensure adherence to financial controls and governance standards
Audit & Support
Prepare audit documentation and assist with year-end processes
Act as a key finance contact for business unit queries
 
Minimum Requirements
Matric + BCom (Finance or similar)
3–5 years’ accounting experience (multi-entity exposure advantageous)
Strong reporting, reconciliation, and compliance knowledge

Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving ability
Able to manage multiple entities and deadlines
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement
