Divisional Accountant | Durban

Our client is looking for a Divisional Accountant, who is a key player in the Finance team, responsible for delivering accurate, timely consolidation and reporting of the division’s financial information. This high-impact role provides valuable insights and sharp analysis that empower the executive team to make informed strategic decisions and drive business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management Systems
Manage accounting systems (Finnivo, Qlik, ERP LX), access controls, period settings, and perform monthly interface reconciliations.
- Budgeting & Forecasting
Update templates, consolidate, review, and reconcile budgets and forecasts across all platforms; prepare weekly sales & profit forecasts.
- Financial Reporting
Coordinate and prepare the Monthly Division Financial Pack, flash results, board reports, and management presentations (including industry sales and vehicle build stats).
- Internal Controls
Review controls, balance sheet reconciliations, and support the overall control framework.
- Audits & Year-End
Assist with statutory audits, prepare audit/tax packs, coordinate tax submissions, and finalise statutory financial statements.
- Additional
Manage capital expenditure, statutory returns (VAT/PAYE), cashflow reporting, insurance processes, and ad-hoc financial analysis.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Accounting
- CA(SA)
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a finance/accounting role, preferably in consolidation and reporting.
- Strong technical accounting and analytical skills
- Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency
