Employee Relations Manager – Richard’s Bay
 
Are you an expert in employee relations ready to take the lead in a dynamic, unionised manufacturing environment?
 
We’re looking for an experienced Employee Relations Manager to join a major player in the manufacturing industry. This is a permanent opportunity based in Richard’s Bay, where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping a harmonious and legally sound work environment through expert guidance on employee relations and employment equity.
 
What you’ll be doing:
  • Leading ER strategies and Employment Equity plans in line with SA legislation.
  • Partnering with HR and line managers to resolve disputes and drive transformation.
  • Managing bargaining council processes, CCMA engagements, and external legal advisors.
  • Mitigating risk by identifying ER challenges before they escalate.
  • Coaching and supporting HRBPs and managers on ER best practices.
  • Spearheading policy development and continuous legislative compliance.
 
What we’re looking for:
  • HR/ER degree or relevant qualification (postgrad in Labour Law/Conflict Resolution advantageous).
  • 8–10 years’ ER experience in unionised manufacturing.
  • 5+ years in strategic leadership roles.
  • Hands-on expertise with LRA, BCEA, EEA.
  • Proven record in stakeholder management and EE implementation.
