HR Generalist | Durban
Our client is looking for a proactive and hands-on HR Generalist to deliver a broad range of people services across the business. This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing employee relations, recruitment, HR administration, payroll coordination and compliance while partnering with leaders to build a positive, high-performing workplace.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, incapacity and misconduct processes.

Coordinate the full recruitment and onboarding process, from advertising through to appointment.

Maintain employee records, contracts and HR documentation throughout the employee lifecycle.

Prepare payroll inputs and administer leave, benefits and employee changes.

Ensure compliance with South African labour legislation and HR policies.
-
Support Employment Equity, Skills Development, WSP/ATR submissions and HR reporting.

Coordinate performance review cycles, training initiatives and intern programmes.

Assist with HR projects, policy development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Requirements:
-
Advanced Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Labour Relations, Industrial Psychology or a related field.

2–3 years’ experience in a generalist HR role.

Solid employee and labour relations experience.

Strong understanding of South African labour legislation and HR best practice.

Experience with payroll coordination and HR administration.

Exposure to a multi-site or operational environment will be advantageous.
