HR Operations Manager | Stanger

An experienced and results-driven HR Operations Manager is sought to lead and optimise the full spectrum of human resources operations within a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for delivering efficient HR services, driving talent acquisition, ensuring legislative compliance, leading strategic HR initiatives, and partnering with operational leadership to support business objectives. The successful candidate will combine strong operational expertise with people leadership and a continuous improvement mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding.

  • Partner with managers to define hiring requirements and deliver quality appointments.

HR Operations

  • Lead day-to-day HR operations across the plant.

  • Manage headcount, vacancies and workforce planning.

  • Drive service improvement through HR metrics and data analysis.

  • Build strong relationships with operational leadership.

Governance & Compliance

  • Manage Employment Equity, BBBEE and ESG reporting.

  • Ensure compliance with HR legislation, policies and internal standards.

HR Policies & Projects

  • Implement and review HR policies and procedures.

  • Lead HR projects, employee wellness, recognition programmes and engagement initiatives.

Reporting & Administration

  • Produce HR dashboards and management reports.

  • Ensure HRIS integrity, personnel records and benefits administration are effectively managed.

Leadership

  • Lead, coach and develop the HR team.

  • Foster a high-performance, accountable and inclusive culture.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Human Resources or related field (essential); Honours advantageous.

  • 6–8 years’ HR experience with strong HR operations expertise.

  • 4–5 years’ people management experience.

  • Manufacturing, Automotive or FMCG experience highly advantageous.

  • Experience with HRIS and MS Office.

  • Sound knowledge of South African labour legislation (LRA, BCEA, EEA).

  • Knowledge of Employment Equity, BBBEE and recruitment best practice.

  • Project management exposure advantageous.
