Overview
 
Our client is seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead the commercial strategy. The role focuses on aligning sales strategy with production capacity to ensure the most profitable product mix across both domestic and export markets, while driving revenue growth and long-term market sustainability.
 
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to optimise profitability and competitiveness.
  • Analyse domestic market dynamics and identify opportunities for long-term product sustainability.
  • Expand the product offering through strategic import opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
Sales & Pricing
  • Design and implement pricing strategies that balance profitability and customer value.
  • Ensure alignment between sales plans and production capacity.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and high service levels.
Leadership
  • Manage and guide Domestic, Regional and Export Sales teams.
  • Ensure effective implementation of sales and customer strategies across markets.
  • Work closely with production and logistics to ensure operational alignment.
Planning & Analysis
  • Compile the annual sales budget to guide production and logistics planning.
  • Analyse import statistics and support strategic decisions, including CAPEX planning.
 
Minimum Requirements
  • Grade 12
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
 
Experience
  • 10+ years’ experience in a continuous manufacturing environment
  • At least 5 years’ experience in B2B sales
  • Strong leadership or general management experience
