High-Volume FMCG Environment
We are looking for an experienced Senior Warehouse Manager to lead the end-to-end warehousing operation for a high-volume FMCG business. This role covers both inbound raw materials and packaging as well as outbound finished goods distribution, ensuring smooth operations, accurate stock control, and excellent service levels.
This is a senior, hands-on role suited to a strong operational leader who thrives in a fast-paced FMCG environment and enjoys driving continuous improvement.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Managing inbound warehouses for raw materials and packaging, ensuring accurate receipt, storage, and availability for production.
- Leading outbound distribution warehouses, including picking, packing, dispatch, and transporter management for local and export customers.
- Ensuring FIFO compliance and accurate system processing of all stock movements.
- Maintaining high inventory accuracy through Syspro (or similar ERP) and WMS.
- Overseeing cycle counts and stock takes, investigating variances, and implementing corrective actions.
- Leading and developing warehouse teams, setting clear KPIs and driving a strong performance culture.
- Controlling warehouse costs and improving productivity through lean FMCG best practices.
- Ensuring compliance with ISO standards and ASIB certification requirements.
- Working closely with production, planning, procurement, and distribution to maintain excellent customer service levels.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree or Honours in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Warehousing.
- 8–10 years FMCG warehousing experience, including at least 2–3 years in a senior warehouse management role.
- Proven experience managing both inbound raw materials/packaging and outbound distribution warehouses.
- Strong hands-on experience with Syspro (or similar ERP) and a Warehouse Management System.
- Advanced Excel skills and a strong understanding of FMCG inventory and warehouse KPIs.
- A confident people leader with strong planning, organisational, and communication skills.
- Comfortable operating in a high-pressure, high-volume FMCG environment.
